Evaluating the Credibility of Resources |
This Fall, the library is offering repeated sessions of three different workshops for extra credit. Links to specific workshop sessions are in the box labeled Schedule. Here is a description of each workshop:
Understanding & Avoiding Plagiarism
Alleviate the headache of plagiarism by gaining a better understanding of its nuances. In this workshop, you will learn how to properly paraphrase, when to give attribution, and why academic integrity is important.
Research Skills for Success
Are you having trouble knowing where to start your research other than Google? In this workshop, you will learn how to formulate good research questions, narrow or broaden your topic as needed, and identify good starting points to find information.
Evaluating the Credibility of Resources
Unsure whether an article or website you've found will be a good source for your paper? In this workshop, you will learn how to better determine whether or not a source is trustworthy (credible) by practicing evaluating websites, articles, images, and videos.
