This is a brief overview of AMA/JAMA style for the 11th edition.

Note

Citing your sources is an important academic and professional skill. Whenever you quote, paraphrase, summarize, or copy content from someone else, you must cite your sources. By including citations, you:

  •  Respect the author or creator whose works you are using
  •  Show where you found your information & prove you used credible sources
  •  Helps your instructor to find the information without confusing it with a different article.
  •  Add credibility and support to your own argument
  •  Avoid Plagiarism

Please refer to the AMA manual of style: electronic manual  or your instructor if you have any further questions.

For References please click on the tab above for both the types and examples.

At the time of your appointment, click on the link and you’ll enter the consultant’s waiting room.To access help with your writing via e-mail, please submit your papers as Word docs through the online help. We will respond to submissions in the order in which we receive them. We usually return manuscripts with our suggestions for revision within two working days.
