About Citation Tools

These tools will help you format your references, works cited, and bibliography pages. However, none of these tools are 100% accurate when it comes to formatting citations. If a database gets a citation wrong, it will be copied wrong into any citation tool you use.

You are always responsible to edit your citations for errors.

Cloud-based citation software. Gather, manage, store, and share all types of citations. Attach source files. Generate citations and bibliographies. Most databases will export to RefWorks. Coverage dates: Current

EndNote 20 Download
Install EndNote on your personal computer to help manage your research. Organize references, save images and PDFs in any language, search contents of PDFs, create citations and bibliographies as you write. It has more advanced features than RefWorks, and it may take a while to learn how to use it to its fullest potential. You may need a class or tutorials to learn EndNote.

Free DOI lookup; crossref currently provides a number of ways for you to locate a DOI number: bibliographic search (author name, journal title, ISBN, etc.) or article title search.
