Systematic Reviews through Joanna Briggs Institute: Journals and Databases

A Library Guide on paths, hints and tricks to creating a Systematic Review

Step 3 in the Systematic Review Process

Step 3 in the process is to ensure there is enough data out there to support a Systematic Review.

Search 2 databases, examples could be CINAHL and MEDLINE

If there is at least few articles avialable on your topic than conduct a protocol and submit to the Joanna Briggs Institute

Once your title and protocol have been approved you will want to search at least 3 - 4 databases, grey literature resources, journals, associations, and cross search the articles found.

Every search done after the protocol is approved should be well documented (i.e. screen shots, bibliographic software, Database History searches or journaling) and reproducible.
