Music Research Guide: Streaming Databases

What Does A Streaming Database Do?

Streaming databases allow subscribing institutions (like ours) to legally access and listen to audio/visual materials. Depending on the database, you can access individual tracks or video clips or entire albums and video productions.

We have several streaming databases: The entire Alexander Street Press streaming library, Naxos Music Library, Database of Recorded American Music and others. They cover the gambit of the world's music excepting the latest radio hits.

What's New!

Alexander Street Press streaming databases (Classical Music Library, etc.) will allow inclusion of other sites within their playlists.  If you want to include YouTube or other sites, just input the URL while in your playlist!

Naxos is now UNLIMITED USERS!!
